Anne DeGheest pioneered the HealthTech space as an entrepreneur, angel investor, corporate advisor and mentor capitalist. In 1986, she founded MedStars Ventures Partners, an advisory firm to large corporations and entrepreneurs. In 2010, she founded HealthTech Capital, a new ecosystem between private angel investors, venture capitalists and industry to fund and mentor new “HealthTech” companies that empower patients and decrease healthcare cost. Since 2011, she organizes and moderates the HealthTech Conference.

The life science companies for which she has been a founder or an early advisor have created new market categories and have grown to over $6 billion in market capitalization.  She has startup operating experience as CEO and VP as well as public and private board positions. Anne was an EIR with Canaan Partners and IVP. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and a guest-lecturer on entrepreneurship and angel investing. Anne has an MBA from Harvard University and a Master in Business Engineering from University of Brussels
